Speakers talk in their own language, and everyone in the room reads their own language on their phone. No interpreter, no headsets, no app to install; scan one QR code and you are in.

The video is narrated in Chinese.
We set up the session for you and give you three links with QR codes: speaker, audience and screen. The session closes by itself after the event date.
A speaker scans the “speaker” QR, enters a name, taps the microphone and starts. Several speakers or panelists can use their own phones at the same time; captions show who is talking.
The audio goes to NCKU's GPU server, which transcribes it and translates it into every language the audience has chosen. Captions usually appear 2 to 6 seconds after a sentence ends.
Attendees scan the “audience” QR and pick a language; the interface switches to that language too, and the phone can read the captions aloud. The venue screen opens the “screen” link, which scrolls like a chat and can split into two columns on wide screens.
Speakers can talk in: Chinese (中文)EnglishJapanese (日本語)Korean (한국어)Thai (ไทย)FilipinoVietnamese (Tiếng Việt)Hindi (हिन्दी)Taiwanese
Captions can be shown in: Chinese (中文)EnglishJapanese (日本語)Korean (한국어)Thai (ไทย)FilipinoVietnamese (Tiếng Việt)Hindi (हिन्दी)
One session can run several caption languages at once; each attendee picks their own. The audience interface itself exists in these languages.
| Event | Setting |
|---|---|
| 2026 International Conference on Interdisciplinary Arts (NCKU College of Liberal Arts, 21–22 Oct 2026) | Two full days of Chinese, English and Japanese captions; many speakers taking turns on their phones; large captions projected in the hall. |
| 2026 Naresuan University visit (NCKU College of Science and Science Education Center, 27–28 Oct 2026) | Chinese, English and Thai captions throughout talks, discussions and site visits, with several phones taking turns. |
The speaker and audience pages keep the screen awake by themselves (Screen Wake Lock: Safari 16.4, Chrome 85, Edge 90, Firefox 126 or later), so no need to change the phone's auto-lock. In our tests iPhone Safari and Android Chrome keep capturing after switching to another app, but that depends on the OS version and power-saving settings, so keep the speaker page in front; an incoming call always interrupts it.
| Device | Recommended | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone / iPad | Safari | Every browser on iOS uses the same engine; Safari is the most stable, and the page keeps the screen on. A phone call interrupts capture, so turn on Do Not Disturb on the speaker's phone. |
| Android | Chrome | The page keeps the screen on. Set Chrome's battery usage to “Unrestricted” (Settings → Apps → Chrome → Battery) so power saving does not pause it while capturing in the background. |
| Windows laptop | Chrome or Edge | Capture continues with the window in the background and the page prevents sleep. Do not close the lid or let the laptop sleep. |
| Mac laptop | Chrome | Same as above. Safari 16.4 or later also works, but keep the Safari window in front. |
A link opened inside LINE lands in LINE's built-in browser, where the microphone is unavailable; our links jump to the phone's browser automatically. If that does not happen, copy the address into Safari or Chrome.
